Ciao a tutti,
dall'anno scorso possiedo un Caberg Duke di cui sono molto soddisfatto.
L'ho acquistato con un occhio al prezzo e uno alla sicurezza, e devo dire che per la questione sicurezza questo forum mi è stato molto utile.
Da un pò di mesi ogni tanto penso anche alla possibilità di acquistare un casco integrale, tenendo sempre in considerazione i due fattori fondamentali.
Qualche giorno fa all'Eicma ho potuto provare il Caberg Ego e sto pensando che potrebbe fare al caso mio.
Porto gli occhiali da vista (nel Duke entrano benissimo, così come anche nell'Ego), la calzata globalmente mi sembra molto simile al Duke, ci sono alcune grafiche carine, e tutto sommato non costa un occhio.
Mi è sembrato un poco strano non trovarne traccia sul sito Sharp, dove invece avevo trovato i test del Duke (che ha meritato 5 stelle!!).
Qualcuno di voi ha/usa/ha usato l'Ego? Che impressioni ne avete?
Avete notizie di test di terze parti, oltre ovviamente a quelli della casa (di cui sicuramente ci si può fidare)?
Uno dei motivi per cui sono attirato dall'Ego è proprio la ventilazione superiore. Una caratteristica che nel Duke è un poco carente.
Inoltre le uscite posteriori garantiscono il corretto flusso e il ricambio dell'aria all'interno.
Forse se ci fossero anche nel Duke la ventilazione superiore sarebbe un po' migliore…

A me l'apertura così grossa sopra non ispira molta fiducia per gli urti, però Caberg non è l'ultima arrivata e ha dimostrato che i caschi li sa fare, quindi non saprei. Avere un rating sharp sarebbe carino, magari prova a mandare una mail a sharp e proporglielo, una volta che gli ho scritto mi han risposto abbastanza velocemente!

I thank you very much for your work and for all the tests you've done with many many helmets.
In the April of the past year I've bought a Caberg Duke, and one of the reason was the result of your tests.
I'm evaluating the purchase of a full-face helmet. I've tried the Caberg Ego, and the shape of this helmet is really right for my head (I wear goggles).
I've read the review of WebBikeWorld, but I'm really curious about the result of a Sharp test.
Please, can you consider to do a test with the Caberg Ego?
In many forums I've read positive opinions, but I've read many times this questions: "how this helmet will be rated after a Sharp test"??
I hope that you can have an answer for this question...

Thank you for your email below, and for your interest in SHARP.
We are sorry there are no results available for the Caberg Ego motorcycle helmet.
To date, SHARP has rated 304 models of helmet and we are working hard to provide ratings for as many other motorcycle helmets as possible, subject to their availability to the motorcyclist in the United Kingdom. We will consider including the Caberg Ego in the SHARP programme, but you may wish to know that one of the common obstacles preventing SHARP from rating a helmet is low stock numbers. SHARP obtains helmets from UK high street retailers (as would the motorcyclist) to ensure that representative stock is tested. We require a minimum of seven helmets in specific sizes for testing, and if we cannot get the full range required we are unable to provide a rating.

Supponendo che testino su almeno tre taglie, parliamo di 21 caschi per modello specifico. Probabilmente di piu': 28? 35? 42? Notevole.

Gran lavoro, in effetti. E anche una bella spesa di caschi...
Vedremo se ci sarà qualche novità per il modello Ego.
